Glitter Gradient

Hey :)

I thought today I would show you my first attempt at a glitter gradient. I really like the look of glitter gradients so I really do want to master it!

This mani is a base of W7 dance and the glitter is a color club polish that has no name (its from a set from TK Maxx) for the gradient

I loved this mani when I did it, I got so many compliments including from a woman at illamasqua :D. I do think the gradient can be improved on but for a first attempt I was really pleased :D

Stamping success!

Hello :)

After I felt my last stamping attempt here didn't go too well, I had to try it again. This time I started with a base of Nails Inc Porchester Square (which is beautiful on its own!) and then I stamped using the cheeky vibrant set and Essie Penny Talk. Unfortunately I only took one picture :(.

I absolutely loved the way this mani turned out, so much so that I left it on untill near enough every nail had chipped! Deffinately one I'm going to be doing again!

Aeroplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars ...

Hello :)

Ive got a simple mani today that Ive previously shown on a nail wheel, I loved it on there so thought I would do it as a full mani. If you haven't guessed by the title todays mani is a shooting star (I couldn't stop singing BOB's song aeroplanes whilst doing this mani!). This mani was so easy to do and I love it :)

In this mani I used (from left to right) Barry M foil effects silver, Nails Inc Motcomb Street and China Glaze Fairy Dust

Fairy dust is a must have for any nail polish enthusiast, its a gorgeous holographic glitter topcoat!

Heres the mani:

The reflective from my cameras flash made my star look wonky :(. I promise it wasn't, I would admit it if it was :P.

Thats all for today, I do like this mani so much, shame the pictures don't do it justice :(. Oh well guess I will have to do it again :D.

Practice on Nail Wheels

Hey :)

Thought I would show you what I've been working on to try and practice my nail art skills. These are some of the nail wheels I have done.

This one has my shooting star practice, keep your eyes peeled for a full mani of this ;).

Theres some designs I'm really proud of on these wheels and some that I'm not so proud of, I will let you decide which is which :P. Hopefully these will be turned into full manis, just watch this space.

Gelly Nail Art!

Hello :)

Today I have got some nail art I created using 2 more of the new Barry M gellys. I purchased Lychee and Dragon Fruit last week and I thought instead of doing plain swatches that Ive been doing a lot of lately I would combine the two and create some nail art :).

I couldn't decide what nail art I wanted to do with them so I thought I would combine everything and create a skittle mani :D

I've even taken pictures of my right hand!

Allthough these nails are far from perfect I absolutely love them! Normally I schedule my posts so that something is put up if I'm busy but I didn't want to wait to show you this, I only finished these nails about an hour ago :).

The more I use the gellys the more I like them, I'm deffinately going to aim to buy the whole collection!

Barry M - Kingsland road

Hiya :)

Ive just got one more swatch to show you before we start with the nail art again :). Todays is one of the new textured nail polishes by Barry M called Kingsland road. This polish is textured but I would say is less textured that the Nails Inc concrete set which is the only other textured polish I have tried. Its a gorgeous soft baby pink colour that applies really nicely and is opaque in two coats. It also had an amazing wear time and didn't cheap on me for 4 days :D.

On to the pics :

I bought this polish as part of a 2 for £6 deal in superdrug but as its only £3.99 to begin with I think this polish is well worth the money, Im just not convinced I like textured nails, I can't make my mind up :/

Illasmasqua Mottle

Hey :)

As promised today I have swatches of Illasmasquas new speckled polish Mottle. I found these to be shearer than I thought they would be, but it does mean that the previous layers glitter shows through which I didn't think it would :). I managed to get them opaque in 2 thick coats but when I use it again I will probably do 3 thin coats to avoid some of the streaking. Overall I was really impressed with this polish with it being my first illamasqua I will deffinately look to get some more :).

Onto the pictures:

Unfortunately this polish didn't wear as well as I had hoped it chipped after a day, but that couldn't have been how I applied it. Even with the chips I still love this polish. Im not a massive fan of the creme coloured one in the collection but I deffinately want the pink and purple ones!

New Barry M Gelly Papaya

Hey :)

Today I've got a swatch to show you of the new Barry M Gelly polish Papaya. Papaya is a gorgeous peachy coraly colour, which instantly grabbed my attention over the other 3 shades. I bought this along with the pink texture effect thats just been realised as they are on offer for 2 for £6 in superdrug at the moment.

Here are some pictures I took of it:

I didn't find this the easiest to apply but for the £3.99 price tag I like it :). I have had it on for 2 days now and there are no chips. I used OPI nail envy as a base coat and seche vite as a top coat, the polish is deffinately wearing well though.

Overall I would deffinately recommend the gelly polishes to anyone they are really nice colours and wear well. Also if you haven't seen it before they stamp well too.

Next post is going to be the swatches of the Illamasqua Mottle that I promised, Ive done the swatches and just need to write the review.

Valentines Day Mani

Hello :)

Today I have a valentines mani to show you. To be honest I don't like it, I love the idea but the execution was not good! I did this in a bit of a rush thinking it was easy to do and I probably should have taken my time. Oh well you live and learn!

Here it is anyway

Ok so its probably not as bad as I'm making out, but still feel like it could be done a lot better! Maybe I will re-do it at some point to see how I could do it! Plus I feel I really need to get better at photographing manis! Has anyone got any tips that don't involve a lightbox as i really do not have the space to store one.

Hope you all have a great valentines day and get spoilt rotten by your other halves :D
